Consultation Terms & Conditions

Please read the following carefully before your first consultation.

If you have any questions, you can email us at [email protected]

Lydia Leighton Nutrition and Wellbeing offers one-to-one consultations, either individually or as packages, which rely on the commitment and motivation of both the Dietitian and the client to get the best results.

Appointments

After booking, we will send you a confirmation email with an initial health questionnaire, food diary and consent form to be completed and returned no later than 2 working days before our appointment.

Follow-up appointments will usually be booked at the end of the appointment. If you wish to postpone this, then the responsibility for booking lies with the client. Reminders will not be sent.

Our meetings allow us to work together to achieve the best results, as such you also agree to engage with the process and complete any work in between appointments.

It is your responsibility to ensure that personal and clinical information are accurate and up to date. Our advice is based on the information you provide.

Appointments will take place via online video call or telephone. In some circumstances, face-to-face may be possible but not guaranteed.

We may identify additional treatment that is required and recommended moving forwards, this may be from another health professional. You are not obliged to take up this suggestion for further treatment.

Cancellation by you

If you do not attend your appointment or if you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice, you will be charged the full consultation fee.

You can change your appointment up to 48 hours before without incurring a fee.

For cancellations made before 48 hours only 50% of the fee is refundable.

Any groups that may run cannot be cancelled by you and are non-refundable.

If you are running late, please let us know as soon as possible. The original ‘finish time’ will still apply. We may decide it’s not possible to carry out the appointment in the time available, in this case the appointment will not go ahead (see Cancellations section).  We have no obligation to re-schedule a missed appointment.

Packages have a timeframe in which to use them. This ensures that we don’t lose momentum and that the best results are achieved. Repeated cancellations may mean that we cannot honour the full number of appointments booked once the timeframe has lapsed.

You are entitled to 14 days ‘cooling off period’ from the date of the Booking Confirmation email to cancel the appointment and receive a full refund. A partial refund may be received if part of the Services have been performed during this period and you will not be entitled to any refund where all of the Services have been performed in full during the ‘cooling off period.’

Cancellations by us

In certain circumstances we may need to amend or cancel your appointment or booking even after this have been confirmed due to circumstances beyond our control. We will endeavour to provide as much notice as possible, however this may not always be possible. Lydia Leighton Nutrition & Wellbeing will not be liable in these circumstances but will endeavour to rebook your appointment to a convenient alternative time. If this is not possible a refund or transfer of the session will be made.

In between Appointments

For 1:1 consultations, two email enquiries in between are included in the consultation fee. This is for the purpose of clarifying points, or advice, not for further assessment or advice. For longer length packages the number of emails may change.

Normal working hours are Monday to Thursday 9.30 – 3.30pm, excluding bank and other public holidays. We will aim to respond within 48 hours of receipt of your email.

Payment

Details of offers and fees can be found at www.lydialeighton.com. We will confirm details in our booking email.

Our prices may change at any time, but price changes will not affect confirmed bookings.

Payment is due 48 hours in advance of each consultation, or the first consultation if a package, via online bank transfer.

Refunds

Refund requests cannot be honoured. If your condition has not improved after the consultations, this may require further investigation or support.

Should you request to end an appointment early, or part way through the delivery of the Services then payment will not be refunded for the appointment unless we otherwise determine in our reasonable discretion.

If for whatever reason, we are unable to honour your purchased sessions then a full refund for any unused sessions will be provided.
