I am passionate about food and improving lives through good nutrition and supporting a healthy relationship with what we eat. As a Dietitian I provide expert food and nutrition advice to both individuals and groups.
As a mum with two young children, I apply my knowledge, training and experience in day-to-day life to balance my family’s needs to promote a healthy lifestyle that encourages a positive approach to food that they can enjoy.
My philosophy is that you are what you eat and that it is possible to lead a healthy lifestyle by employing a sensible approach to food and nutrition and I work creatively to provide practical dietary advice for real people to enjoy everyday life.
I am a qualified, registered Dietitian and Nutritionist with over 16 years experience. I have had a varied career working within the NHS, in hospitals and in the local community, working alongside GPs and other health professionals to support adults and children both as individuals and in groups.
I specialise in using behavioural change approaches to support people to manage their weight by guiding them to make the right dietary choices, correctly tailored to their individual lifestyle, nutrition and wellbeing.
Some of the other areas I have practiced are nutritional deficiencies, pregnancy nutrition, malnutrition, impaired glucose tolerance, type 2 diabetes mellitus, polycystic ovarian syndrome, cholesterol lowering and heart health and some gut disorders.
I am committed to helping people understand how the food they eat affects health and wellbeing. Put simply, I help you to understand how your body responds to the food you eat by making nutritional science easy to understand.
