Nutrition can be so confusing. Is it 5-a-day or 10? Can I have sugar and what about fat? Is gluten all that bad? The messages keep on changing. Diet and lifestyle can play a really important part in symptom management for many conditions and as a qualified Dietitian I will cut through all of this confusion and break the science down to help you understand your own nutritional needs.
Therefore, a consultation with me will always be tailored to your needs and entirely bespoke to you.
As well as my nutrition expertise, I use a holistic approach and consider not just your current food habits and diet choices but your symptoms, your medical history, lifestyle and daily routines which all influence the decisions we make. Coupled with this, and where appropriate, we will explore your thoughts and feelings surrounding your food choices and lifestyle decisions.
Together, we then decide on the best approach for you to suit your personal circumstances. Our decisions will be backed with scientific rationale and will empower you to make lasting dietary changes.
Managing Your Weight
Having supported people with their weight for all of my career, this is an area I specialise in and love. I passionately believe you don’t have to ‘diet’ to lose weight. I don’t want you to follow another diet, I want to guide you through the science, empower you to manage your food choices and lifestyle with confidence, support you to build a healthier relationship with food and guide you to make lasting changes. Therefore, I have developed a 12-week programme:
Women’s Health
Pre-conception, pregnancy, breastfeeding and menopause! These are all important stages in a woman’s life, all with their own nutritional considerations. I can guide and support you through the nutrition and science of these stages in a friendly and informed way so that you can make the right dietary choices to optimise your health for the future.
Digestive Health
Symptoms of wind, bloating, constipation, diarrhoea or acid reflux aren’t much fun on a regular basis and can really impact your quality of life. If you’ve been diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) I can support you in managing these symptoms.
Family Nutrition
Being a mum, I know only too well how challenging it can be to manage food for the family, especially if you have a fussy eater or if other family members have different dietary needs. Perhaps it’s time to wean your little one and you want it to be a positive experience. Whatever your need, I can give you a helping hand in working it all out and making it seem achievable.
Healthy Eating
Do you want to check that your diet is balanced and healthy? Perhaps you’ve been diagnosed with a nutritional deficiency or maybe you are switching to a more plant-based diet and you’re not sure if you’re on the right lines?
Can’t see what you’re looking for? Please do get in touch to discuss your requirements. I have a broad range of expertise as I’ve worked as a Dietitian for over 16 years and if I can’t help you, I will know someone who can!
